Much ado...

It is funny to think that I started this blog because I wanted to start writing again and I keep having these, what I think, are wonderful or noteworthy thoughts, and now that I have opened a venue to express those ideas... poof! They are gone.

And so I think I should have named my blog "Much Ado About Nothing." I think writing is a habit you develop that somehow transforms into art with the right combination of skill, vision and theme. Not everyone can pull it off (and I group myself in the not everyone) but some people seem to be able to take the simplest topic or idea and grab you with it. They leave you wanting more, more of their opinion, their view, their wit... more of them. When you write, you put yourself on the page for people to see. The best writers leave you wanting more, not more story but more of the writer.

  1. Writing is an art form. When something is written well it provokes the mind to pull out the soul by way of the heart. Like all things in life there are the naturally talented and those who try their hardest and can’t seem to organize their thoughts or capture their audience. You’re right though. “The best writers leave you wanting more, not more story but more of the writer.” Your post on “One Minute Writer” brought me to your blog site. I read your latest blog then clicked on older posts to read more. Your writing obviously has found me wanting to read more of it. So you’re on the right path. Now all you need is something to inspire you. One of my favorite quotes comes from the movie “A Knights Tale”. I have yet to find something perfect to blog about that I can end with this quote. Maybe you can. “You have been weighed, you have been measured and you have been found wanting.”
I’ll keep checking back to see if you’ve written more. Whatever you do, don’t give it up. You’re good at it, you just need a little inspiration.

  2. Always wanted to write well but I think I'm one of those "not everyone can pull it off" bunch.
